I usually see my Metal Beat Dr ( Direct from Chinese: ??) once every 1 - 2 years. Most of the time after my running events.

Went to see him yesterday but he was having too many patients, I couldn’t wait as I have a class in Orchard. So I visited him again this morning. Waited almost 45 minutes for my turn.

Went for Shape Run 2 Sundays ago. Everything was fine when I did my run which I completed within 80 minutes I believe. The next Monday, my right feet starts to hurt a little and I was busy with an event that I couldn’t find time to see the Dr until today.

He claims to be a 60+ man when he is like looking really young with his head of black hair, dressed in his typical white cotton shirt and jeans. He likes to talk while doing his job. His topic of the day was oon our gah-men. (Content is confidential, tsktsk…)

This experience was different from the rest, as usually my knee was the part which needs some healing but this time, it was my ankle. He performed the classical twist and I went “OUCH”! The crack sound was really loud and certainly painful :(

Here’s the end result:

I was limping around CCK and Yew Tee with this leggy of mine.

PS: Should anyone need some twisting and cracking, he is located @ West Coast Food Centre Blk 504 #01-222 ( In a provision shop opp Jurong Wanton!)

I would be late for lesson if I didn’t take the taxi. Me and my poor time management! I was at Bukit Batok Polyclinic area. So I would think that my usual 188 route to Pasir Panjang through AYE would be good.

When I boarded the taxi which was within 1 minute of waiting, the driver asks if going by Jurong Town Hall Road was all right. Hmmm…. at that moment, I would assume Jurong Town Hall Road sounds like an expressway. But I was terribly wrong. It was full of traffic lights. And I guess the universal wants me to learn my lesson well so traffic lights were “instructed” to switch to red for most part of my journey. . .

I thought hard to myself and asked the reason of me not sticking to the route which I’m more familiar with and I’m certain that AYE is definitely not full of traffic lights.

  • I wasn’t insistent and confident of how I want the journey to go instead I left the decision to the driver. (Serve me right for having to pay extra few bucks and wasted time stopping by traffic lights!)
  • I was too trusting of others, thinking that they would put thier clients before their own benefits, just like how I lead my life. (I was proven wrong!)

Somewhat I have the feeling that the driver wanted to take the route which has more traffic lights so that he can earn more out of my journey. Afterall, it was the period of the time where business is tough probably due to the surcharge of 35%?

After realizing all that about myself, I decided to take some actions. The driver comes to this juncture where he could have turned in to continue the journey or to go straight. I knew that section very well. By turning in, I’m setting myself up for more traffic lights and moreover my precious time would be eaten up by the single lane traffic and definitely the traffic lights especially during the knocking off peak period. So I told him why not we take the straight road. And I was pleased with my gut to voice out what I want, to take control. :)

  • Decision once made, we must be ready to face the consequences, regardless if they are wise or otherwise.
  • Learnt well from each experience.

I got myself to blame for feeling cheated due to my incorrect decision but the price paid $15.60 (Bukit Batok to Pasir Panjang Hill) will pave way for better experience in future.

Had steamboat dinner yesterday.

Occassion : to celebrate bear’s new fridge.tsktsktsk.

It was a cool LG fridge which was bought at a good deal. Haha. He used what he learnt in T Harv Eker Guerilla Business Intensive strategies combined with our own street-smart methods.

Anyway, we bought the stuff from supermarkets + the stuff that bear’s mum bought from market. It was fabulously yummy!

I was hungry as usual and so was stuffing myself with those really hot food down my throat. Though it was really hot at that moment, I didnt care much since I was all out to fight my hunger.

Result: I woke up with a scalded tongue! I disliked the feeling! :(

Lesson learnt:

Actions have consequences. Some consequences are instant, some take a while for them to surface.

I will eat my food slowly in future especially the hot stuff.

I wasn’t in the best state of health since my dinner @ NYDC on Saturday. I was so bloated that it makes me real uncomforty on Sunday but I still went for my class as it had been scheduled.

I can’t stand it on Sunday night but have to wait till Monday morning to see my usual Dr Tan. As usual, he greeted with his ever cheerful smile and commented that I was slimmer! Haha! Must be from the LS (aka Lao Sai aka Diarrhoea). Guess what?! I was diagnoised with Gastric Flu! Argh! Was given 4 Tamiflu tablets which really so called “branded” drugs that cost me close to $10 per tablet. On top of that, I was required to take some anti- diarrhoea medication as well like Charcoal and this milky suspension! Yuck!
